    Investment advisors are required to disclose certain information.
    Prior to providing advice, a investment advisor would be required to disclose the following information: (1) all fees and potential conflicts of interest, (2) any affiliation with the investment options in the plan, (3) any limits placed on the advice provided, (4) the types of advisory services provided, and (5) the advisor’s role as a fiduciary. The disclosure would have to be provided in a clear and conspicuous manner when advice is first given. Subsequently, an updated disclosure would have to be provided free of charge: (1) at least annually, (2) whenever the client requests the information, and (3) whenever there is a material change to the advisor's fees or affiliations. These subsequent disclosures would have to be provided in a clear and conspicuous manner.
